Managed Print Services & Printer Rental
End-to-end managed print: multi-function device rental, installation, preventive maintenance, consumable replenishment and support, with secure data erasure at contract end.
What was implemented
Printing is infrastructure until it stops working, at which point it is everyone’s problem. We took the whole function off the client’s hands — equipment, maintenance, consumables and support — on a rental model with a defined exit.
Before the project
The client needed reliable, cost-effective printing without carrying the burden of it: printer maintenance, consumable management, equipment downtime and replacement cost were all consuming internal attention that belonged on the core business.
What ITDC delivered
We delivered a managed multi-function printer rental service. ITDC supplies and installs the devices, maintains them preventively and correctively, keeps consumables replenished, and provides technical support — with equipment pulled out and securely data-erased when the contract ends.
What the system does
Device rental and deployment
Two multi-function colour devices supplied, delivered, installed and configured.
Compliant equipment
Brand-new or remanufactured units meeting the agreed specification.
Preventive maintenance
Scheduled servicing rather than reactive repair, to keep availability up.
Corrective maintenance
Fault response as part of the service, not a separate charge.
Consumable replenishment
Supply and replenishment managed by ITDC, so stock-outs stop being an internal task.
Secure exit
Equipment pull-out with secure data erasure on contract completion.
How it fits together
A layer-level view. We do not publish hostnames, addresses, credentials, firewall rules or topology detail for systems in production.
Built with
Controls in the delivered system
High-level controls only. Detailed security design is shared under NDA with the client organization, not published.
How it was rolled out
Requirement and specification
Print volumes and device specification agreed against the client’s actual usage.
Deployment
Delivery, installation and configuration of the units.
Steady-state service
Preventive maintenance, consumable replenishment and support.
Contract exit
Equipment pull-out with secure data erasure.
What came of it
Each outcome carries the label that describes what kind of claim it is. We never present a target as a measured result — see our claims policy.
One managed environment replaced ad-hoc device ownership.
Preventive maintenance reduced the downtime the client had been absorbing.
Consumables, maintenance and replacement moved from the client to ITDC.
